No plastic, no waiting for the mail. One card on your phone, for every program, every province and every house of the family.
The card is personal. Each adult in a household holds their own.
Program providers scan it to confirm that you are a member. It says nothing else about you.
Issued in English and French, like everything we send you.
Canada is your house. Europe, India, China, Africa, East Asia and West Asia recognize the same card.
Membership is free. Joining takes about a minute, and your membership goes with you wherever you live.
We never ask about immigration or residence status.
Some members wish to give their time as well as their name. If that is you, it is an honour to have you: choose the way that suits what you know and whom you know.
Be the person in your city who welcomes new members and speaks for your neighbourhood.
Carry the conversation between your association and the Canadian network.
Lend English, French and the language of home to a family at an appointment or over a form.
You know how your province really works. Write it down for the next family.
Meet a newly arrived family in its first week, and walk the first errands with them.
Offer an hour of orientation in your field to someone re-qualifying in it.
A few lines are enough. We write to you about serving where you live, in English or in French.
Serving is voluntary and unpaid, and you may step back whenever you wish. You do not need to be a member first, though most who serve are.
